House Rules ✦ Starlight Cinema

We’re here for great movies, good snacks and an easy night out. To help keep Starlight safe, comfortable and enjoyable for everyone, there are just a few house rules we ask all moviegoers to follow.

Keep the Big Bags at Home

Our cinemas are cosy by design, so large bags aren’t permitted inside.

That includes large backpacks, oversized handbags, shopping bags, luggage and other bulky items. If you arrive with one, our team may ask you to return it to your vehicle or make other arrangements before entering the cinema.

Please keep your belongings with you. Starlight Cinema can’t take responsibility for items left unattended.

Snacks? We’ve Got You Covered

Outside food and drinks aren’t permitted inside Starlight Cinema.

That includes takeaway meals, snacks and drinks purchased elsewhere. Our candy bar has all the movie essentials covered, from freshly popped popcorn and ice cream to lollies, fountain drinks, coffee and more.

Come hungry. We can work with that.

Need an Exception?

Of course, some things are more important than the house rules.

Reasonable exceptions can be made for essential medical items, disability-related equipment, and specific dietary or health requirements. Have a chat with our team when you arrive and we’ll be happy to help.

Be Excellent to Your Fellow Moviegoers

Everyone’s here to enjoy the show.

Please be considerate of the people around you, follow directions from our team, and avoid behaviour that is disruptive, unsafe or likely to spoil someone else’s movie.

We reserve the right to refuse entry or ask someone to leave if their behaviour is unsafe, disruptive or breaches our venue rules.

Screens Down, Movie On

Once the feature starts, please keep phones and other devices on silent and put screens away so everyone can enjoy the movie without distractions.

Photography, filming or recording of any movie or screen content is not permitted. If you need to take a call or use your phone during the session, please step outside the cinema.

Drinks for the Grown-Ups

Alcohol purchased at Starlight may only be enjoyed in permitted areas and must stay on the premises.

You’ll need to be 18 or over to purchase alcohol, and we may ask for valid photo ID. We won’t serve alcohol to anyone who appears intoxicated, and restrictions may apply during children’s or family-focused screenings.

Outside alcohol is not permitted.

Double-Check Before You Book

Before you hit confirm, please check your movie, date, session time and ticket selection carefully.

Tickets booked for the wrong movie, date or session by mistake are non-refundable, so make sure everything looks right before completing your purchase.

If Starlight cancels or changes a session, we’ll work with you to make things right.

Check the Rating Before You Book

Some movies come with age restrictions, so it pays to check the classification before choosing your session.

Restricted films can only be viewed by people who meet the stated age requirements, and we may ask for proof of age before entry. Unfortunately, we can’t make exceptions to legally restricted classifications.
